About the author...

The oldest of seven children, I was born and raised in Northern California in beautiful Sonoma County. We grew up in the Healdsburg area about sixty miles north of San Francisco. I had a great childhood living way out in the country in the midst of prune orchards, pastures full of grazing cattle and horses, groves of redwood trees, and Franz Creek just a short walk from the house. I graduated from Healdsburg High in 1976, joined the Army in 1977, and in 1983 I married Robert, a wonderful man whom I met just months after returning home from the service. This September we will celebrate our 24th anniversary. After being married for 15 years, we adopted our beautiful daughter, Michelle. We currently live in a remote mountain town in Shasta County on ten acres that we share with our two cats, three dogs, and an abundance of wild creatures.
I love to write, always have, but writing was just a mere hobby up until about eight years ago. By then I had an entire book written – it filled up an entire 8 X 11 notebook! After we bought our first PC, I transferred my “book” to Microsoft Word where it “grew” by leaps and bounds. I caught the fever of writing. However, it was never my intention to have my literary masterpiece published much less have someone else read it! But, as God would have it, the subject of my story somehow came up in conversation with a dear friend. She convinced me to allow her to read it. I relented even though the story wasn’t finished. She loved it anyway and urged me to finish it and get it published. Through her encouragement, I realized that God has given me a precious gift and I am so excited that my first book, Singing Winds, is now published!

My statement of faith:
I believe in the one true God, eternally existing in three persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is God, the living Word, who was concieved by the Holy Spirit and lived a sinless life. He atoned for our sins by dying on the cross and overcame death when he rose on the third day. We are all born in sin and deserve the consequences of sin, which is death. The good news is Jesus died for all of us and this salvation is available to us through God's grace. It can not be earned by our good works because it's a gift. All we need to do is accept it. The Holy Spirit is sent to every believer to reveal Christ's glory to us, comfort us, and convict us. With the Holy Spirit dwelling within us, we are able to live in a way that honors God, our Creator, while existing in a world where evil runs rampant. By faith we live a life pleasing to God through worship, studying His Word - the Bible, and spreading the Good News of Salvation to the four corners of the earth. I believe Jesus is returning to this world to beat the devil once and for all and to take His Bride, the Church (those who believe in Him) home.
