Linda: wife, mother, native Californian
The oldest of seven children, I was born and raised in rural Northern California, about sixty miles north
of San Francisco. I had a great childhood growing up way out in the country in the midst of prune orchards, pastures
of grazing cattle and horses, groves of redwood trees, and the best swimming holes within walking distance. I graduated
from Healdsburg High in 1976, joined the Army in 1977, and in 1983 I married Robert, a wonderful man whom I met
just months after returning home from the service. After enjoying 15 years of marriage, we adopted our beautiful
daughter, Michelle. We currently live in a remote mountain town in Shasta County on ten acres we share with our
three dogs, two cats, and an abundance of wild creatures.

Linda: the writer
I love to write, always have, but writing was just a mere hobby up until about eight years ago. By then I had an entire
book written - it filled up an entire 8 X 11 spiral-bound notebook! After we bought our first PC, I transferred my "book"
to Microsoft Word where it grew by leaps and bounds. I caught the fever of writing, however, I hadn't intended to have my
"literary masterpiece" published, much less read by someone else so there it sat...for years. I have since accepted this
so-called hobby as a bonified gift from God, and I had to learn that with it comes the responsibility of sharing what
I have with others. The subject of my book somehow came up in conversation with a dear friend who convinced me to allow
her to read it. I relented even though it wasn't finished. She loved it anyway and encouraged me to get it published.
God gave me a great ending to the story and the rest is history. Singing Winds was published and officially released in July
of 2007.

Linda: a child of the King
My statement of faith:
I believe in the one true God, eternally existing in three persons - Father, Son, and
Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is God, the living Word, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and lived a sinless life. He atoned
for our sins by dying on the cross and overcame death when he rose on the third day. We are all born in sin and deserve the
consequences of sin, which is death. The good news is Jesus died for all of us through God's grace. It can not be earned by
our good works because it's a gift. All we need to do is accept it. The Holy Spirit is sent to every believer to reveal Christ's
glory to us, comfort us, and convict us. With the Holy Spirit dwelling within us, we are able to live in a way that honors
God, our Creator, while existing in a world where evil runs rampant. By faith we live a life pleasing to God through worship,
studying His Word - the Bible, and spreading the Good News of Salvation to the four corners of the earth. I believe Jesus
is returning to this world to beat the devil once and for all and to take His Bride, the Church (those who believe in Him)
home!
